Oh how quickly the week flies by! It is time again for another edition of What’s New Wednesday, a weekly showcase of cool, undiscovered Etsy talent.

Let’s kick it off with a face bowl from Spoontaneous. Fun and just a little scary. But still fun. Read about the ears in the description. That’s the best part!

Next, and very, very sweet are these baby booties by HollysCorner. Not scary at all!

What’s New Wednesday

beFREEdesigns has the cutest multicolored hoop necklace. So pretty, I just love the colors, of course.

eclecticbysari has these sweet little embroidered cuff bracelets, (along with shoes and belts and other accessories). Just adorable, with more lovely color.

And for when the weather gets a little cooler, how about GBkids, charming hand knit hats with lots of frills and bows. And bright bold color. Fun!

What’s Weird Wednesday

We are a day late, so we thought we’d shake things up a bit and give you this week’s edition of What’s New Weird Wednesday, courtesy of Etsy Pounce.

Take a minute and see what new, fantastic, and slightly unusual artists are waiting for their very first sale. Last week, it was all about the garden. This week it’s a little more out there.

What’s New Wednesday

Making the decision to turn your passion into a public Etsy shop for the world to see  (or at least all the folks in the world with internet access) takes some courage.  The world of retail is overwhelming, exciting, and terrifying all at the same time. The best feeling in the world is making that first sale.

Bristol County Dyeworks is very much a newbie in Etsy world, but we are encouraged by all the positive feedback we’ve received from friends, family, fellow knitters and fiber artists.  And we’ve been lucky enough to make our first sale. Yay!

So, with a goal of encouraging other Etsy newbies and to share the works of some very talented, but as yet undiscovered artists turned entrepreneurs, I am pleased to announce the first edition of  What’s New Wednesday.

Using Etsy’s Pounce feature, we’ll highlight some cool Etsy shops, that despite obvious talent and hard work, are still waiting for the thrill of a first sale. Enjoy.

PacificArtWorks – fun and whimsical sculptures from found objects. These would look great in my garden!

kuhgirl – another garden theme, this time in jewelry. Did I mention I love dragonflies?

StonesThrowCreations – a hand-thrown garden planter. Are you seeing a theme yet?

And finally, richchick – sewer of bright and happy totes and bags. In a garden motif, of course.
